Annually ~200 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals use SITES. As part of the annual reporting, published articles are divided into research fields based on SCB´s standard for the Swedish division of research topics. For 2022, Earth and related Environmental Sciences (37.6%), Biological Sciences (24.7%), and Agricultural Science (14.0%) were the largest subject areas, but research conducted at the SITES Stations covers a much wider range of research areas.
