Organizational Structure

SITES is funded by the Swedish Research Council (VR), together with four Partner Organization of the research stations; Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala University, University of Gothenburg, and Swedish Polar Research Secretariat. The collaboration between the Partner Organizations is regulated by a consortium agreement. The coordinator of SITES is SLU and is also where the Secretariat is located. Moreover, SLU is responsible for the coordination of SITES Data Portal and SITES Spectral Thematic Program through a collaboration agreement with Lund University. SITES is governed by an independent Steering Group and advised by a Scientific Advisory Board.
